Clear paths — not fine print surprises
Cost depends on the care plan: hours, skill mix, live-in vs shift care, and location. Many families use a mix of options over time. Call intake at 347-745-6600 for a case-specific discussion — we do not publish a public rate card because every situation differs.
Private pay
Private pay is straightforward when insurance does not cover the hours you want, when you need care quickly, or when you prefer to choose schedule and services without plan authorization delays. We accept private pay and will explain estimated weekly cost after assessment.
Insurance and MLTC
It often surprises families that caregiver support may be covered through insurance or New York Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) pathways when eligibility and authorization requirements are met. Coverage is never guaranteed until verified. Bring any plan cards and prior authorizations to the conversation.
For a plain-language overview, see our guide: MLTC in New York.
Medicare limits
Medicare generally does not pay for ongoing custodial caregivers (the help with bathing, dressing, and companionship most families need). In some short-term situations after a qualifying hospital stay, limited skilled home health may apply under Medicare rules — that is different from long-term aide care.

Other New York programs
New York has additional programs that may help certain residents pay for long-term services and supports. Program rules change, and eligibility is individual. Please call us about other NY programs that may apply to your situation — we would rather give you a current answer than publish outdated claims on this site.
We do not operate a separate CDPAP marketing page. If you have questions about consumer-directed or other state programs, ask intake directly so we can speak to what is accurate for your case today.
